Be aware of the sources that developed your perceptions/beliefs of social identities • Understand your truth isn’t universal • Recognize the impact of social conditioning influencing the way we treat each other • Realize your own biases and generalized assumptions • Be aware of the privilege some groups have and the oppression some groups experience • Realize if your words and actions are endorsing or rejecting marginalization • Acknowledge the danger in being silent, neutral and apathetic when an individual or group experiences discrimination • Know how to speak and take a stand against systems of oppression • Have new mindset to value all facets of identities
